Fort Worth Public Market Building

A Conditions Assessment, which included an extensive testing program to address the deterioration of historic materials, was commissioned by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to guide future repairs and preservation of the buildings and brewery site. The 40-acre site consists of a stone house, smokehouse, and ruins of the brewery, along with overlooks, trails and landscape elements. The house was constructed during the late 1850s and the brewery was constructed in during the late 1860s. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
