Caruth Homeplace Adaptive Use and Addition

One of Dallas’ oldest residences in continuous use, the 1872 Caruth family farmhouse was modified in 1938 to reflect the Colonial style that was popular at the time. The site and exterior were restored to that period, while the interior was adapted for use as foundation offices by the Communities Foundation of Texas. Much of the original furniture was reused and the public areas on the interior were restored. The house is an RTHL.
