Jefferson Tower Rehabilitation

One of the tallest structures in Oak Cliff, Jefferson Tower was rehabilitated using federal Investment Tax Credits, state, county and local incentives for the Southern Dallas Development Corporation. The tower was designed to serve as SDDC’s offices and as incubator office space. The ITC project was phased and involved Tenant Improvement Guidelines. The original cypress windows were repaired, historic marble and wood corridors, where they existed, were restored and the decorative painting in the ceiling of the lobby was conserved, while office floors were fitted with new systems. An addition at the rear of the building houses restrooms and an exit stair. The building is listed on the National Register and is a local landmark.
